It is a whole lot easier to strive towards and attain balance than it is to shoot for perfection. Reminding myself of this keeps me in check when parenting and living a Christ-centered life. Impressing this upon our children brings a needed feeling of calmness and peace in difficult situations. I am out of balance when I don't spend adequate time with God, but the great part is that He is never out of reach. I will call upon the LORD and teach my children to do the same.
